Advanced Concepts for Aero‑Structures with Integrated Antennas and Sensors

DISCOVER THE PROJECT

ACASIAS is developing advanced concepts for aero- structures with multifunctional capabilities.

ACASIAS intends to embed sensors and antennas into typical structures of aircraft (for instance fuselage panels, winglets and tails).
ACASIAS EXPECTED IMPACTS

EXPECTED IMPACTS

The impacts of the project will be to reduce:
The CO2 and NOx emissions;
The overall airframe weight;
The cabin noise due to CROR engines;
The maintenance costs.

ACASIAS Objectives & innovations

Objectives & innovations

Innovative technologies will concern Antenna design, Composite process manufacturing, Radio-Frequency (RF) and Structural analysis.

ACASIAS CONSORTIUM

CONSORTIUM

The ACASIAS project involves a multidisciplinary research team to add the functional capacities in the aero-structures.
The ACASIAS consortium is composed by 11 partners from 6 different countries.
